Using WordPress as a foundation, you can quickly build a business directory featuring maps, ratings & reviews and other features you’ve seen on Yelp or Google Places. We’ll take a look at about 6 of the many themes & plugins available to help you with this task and talk about things to look for and watch out for.

I am primarily a hobbyist programmer with big dreams. I fell in love with WordPress back in the early 2.x days and have focused on learning how to make it dance & sing since then. I have 3 plugins in the WordPress.org repo and 1 has over 20,000 downloads. I’ve done several client development projects and am working on way to many personal WordPress focused projects, as always.
