They don’t load, they don’t align correctly, you have to create 82 different sizes, and what was the current best practice CSS for hiding button text again?
The pixel density race kickstarted by the Retina display finally forced web developers to start reassessing how they created and used graphics in websites. The answer came from a surprising but not surprising place: When possible, use a font instead!
You’ve heard about icon fonts, you’ve seen them in the new admin UI in WordPress 3.8, and you may have even dabbled with them in your own projects. Well, playtime is over. It’s time to fully embrace the magic of icon fonts and use browser hallucinations to create crisp graphics, easy updates, and faster performing sites.

• Best practice methods for integrating icon fonts in WordPress
• A myriad of examples of how icon fonts can be used
• How to create your own custom icon fonts
There will be code, but it won’t be too complex and there will be plenty of examples you’ll want to use on your site right away.

Who is this talk for?
You will need some WordPress development experience to follow along. At minimum you need to know how to make a child theme and edit HTML, CSS.
