When people talk about blog ‘content’ it makes me want to spit. The articles that you publish on your blog shouldn’t be a fungible commodity, like sausage meat coming out of a grinder. They should be innovative, thoughtful posts; they should be well-sourced, expertly-conceived narrative that makes people come back for more. This, more than a snazzy theme, is what will separate your blog from the rest.

Social media campaigns are valuable, but after the initial Twitter love-in people are only going to keep following you based on the quality of the posts that you give them. How can you do that? I’ll give you some tools and techniques for producing blog posts that shine, and for developing an editorial identity that sets you apart from the blogosphere.
