The Command Line Interface makes a lot of developers reflexively cringe. Who has time to learn one more set of obscure, potentially-destructive commands when there’s work to get done? But behind that blinking cursor are the keys to incredible power. If it’s your job to develop, manage, or maintain WordPress sites, it’s time to get comfy with WP-CLI (http://wp-cli.org/)… you might never see the inside of /wp-admin/ again.

In this presentation, you’ll learn about the open-source WP-CLI project, and how it can enable you to do everything from install plugins to migrate an entire WordPress site between servers, all from the comfort of a Terminal window. Will include as much gentle encouragement not to fear the command line as the group requires.

Dan has been working as a software developer for a decade and makes websites with his wife at Adams-Jacobson Communications Design. He writes for The Daily WTF, blogs at http://danj.ca , and loves sharing the things he learns about web dev with his fellow WordPress fans.
